To apply, provide a short essay detailing what you have done to serve the veteran, campus, or Austin community from a leadership perspective. You will need two reference letters – one academic reference and one professional reference.
Undergraduate Award Qualifications
- Minimum GPA: 3.3
- The candidate must be a former or current active-duty member of the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, or U.S. Coast Guard. Candidates can be current Reserve/Guard if they also meet the VA's requirements to be considered a Veteran.
- Candidate must have completed FAFSA® Form for the current academic year on file with UT's Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
- Previous recipients of the TISTA Tech Veteran Academic Leadership Award are not eligible.
