The mission of the Office of the Registrar at the University of Texas at Austin is to support the academic mission of the University by empowering every student to succeed and equipping faculty and staff with tools to excel. Implements, coordinates, and maintains the academic calendar online and in the General Information Catalog.

Athletic Eligibility
Certifies and reports the academic eligibility status of University student-athletes to the SEC Conference and the NCAA.
Catalogs, Course Inventory, and Credentials (Official Publications)
Maintains course inventory, publishes catalogs and academic calendars, and provides course descriptions from past catalogs.

Course Schedule Production
Produces and maintains course files (used in registration and credit by exam), schedules classes each semester, and produces the course schedule.

Degree Audit
Administers and supports the interactive degree audit system, or IDA.
Digital Badging
Trains and supports Colleges, Schools, and Units (CSUs) in the proposal, set-up, and issuing of digital badges - verifiable digital records that acknowledge completion of an assignment, training, or other activity or an assessed mastery of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities for a given context.

Diploma Services
Verifies degrees awarded and prepares and issues diplomas.
Enrollment Certification
Issues official certification of enrollment status, dates of attendance, degrees earned and other information from student records, class audit permit forms, and concurrent enrollment forms.
Registration
Administers registration, adds and drops, in absentia and late registration, withdrawals, reinstatements, online waitlists and prerequisite checking, and registration information sheets.

Room and Exam Scheduling
Makes reservations in general purpose classrooms; schedules final exams; produces online course and final exam schedules; and coordinates construction projects related to classrooms.

Student Academic Records
Maintains official academic records, collects and records grades and grade changes, posts study abroad credit and credit by exam, correspondence, and extension, processes student name changes, and records scholastic probation and scholastic dismissal notations.
Transcripts
Processes requests for official transcripts and archives student records.
Veteran Education Benefit Certification
Provides assistance to veterans and dependents seeking education benefits under Post-9/11 GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill® – Active duty, Montgomery GI Bill® – Selected Reserve, Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program, Veteran Readiness and Employment benefits, and Hazlewood exemption.
