What's new
Changes to Registration Access Periods. Undergraduate registration access periods are assigned based on a student’s progress (percentage) toward degree completion. The closer students are to completing their degrees, the earlier they will register. This change, implemented with summer 2014 and Fall 2014 registration, is part of the University’s ongoing effort to increase four-year graduation rates and encourage progress toward degree. Students should check their registration information sheet (RIS) for all available times in which they can register.
Quick Add. The course search results page in the Course Schedule includes an Add link which takes students directly to the registration system to add the class if it is open and available. This new feature is a result of receiving feedback from students including representatives of the Student Government Association and the Senate of College Councils. The Add link provides a quick and easy way to choose classes from the Course Schedule without having to write down or cut and paste the unique number!
Longhorn Fixed Tuition Program. The university will offer a fixed rate tuition program to students entering the university for the first time. We encourage you to explore the details of the Longhorn Fixed Tuition Program to decide as a family whether this tuition program is best for you. This program began in Fall 2014.
Optional Fees. You may select and purchase Optional Fees during registration or you could return to the page
https://utdirect.utexas.edu/registration/optionalFees.WBX
at a later date to select and purchase Optional Fees. For a description of available optional fees, see the General Information catalog.
Optional Fees are not included on the tuition billing statement.
