Announcement:
The College of Communication went live on July 1, 2013 with
their 12-14 catalog.
Discussion:
We discussed the usability items the Office of the Registrar
will be addressing this summer.
1) Include Add filter link at top and bottom of the page to minimize
scrolling
2) Remove scrolling within scrolling
3) Fix course list refresh issues
4) Add verbiage for students with second degree
5) Separate the total requirements
6) Add ability to expand/close all sections and options of a
requirement
7) Adjust Quick Override/Advanced Override
The new face for the student planner will be released
this summer. We will notify you
when it is available for testing.
We will be enhancing the Replacement Override with “replace”
and “include” option boxes at the top of the page. This adjustment addresses
issues posed by the colleges regarding the Replacement function of the current
override. The colleges will now have the option to decide whether they would
like an override to replace all course lists or simply be included along with
the already existing course lists. It
was determined that the colleges wanted to be forced to make a choice regarding
these options instead of having a box checked off by default. With the enhancement, the Replacement Override
will be called the Quick Override again.
We discussed the degree profiles that are currently being
used in the 08-10 catalog. A report was sent out to the colleges for reviewing
and planning purposes regarding coding of the 08-10 catalog.
