Notes/ Action
Items:
Web Browsers:
Firefox, Chrome, and Safari are the recommended browsers for IDA 2.0.
Colleges that use the older versions (Prior to 8.0) of Internet Explorer need
to know that this is not supported in IDA 2.0. If colleges are having issues with those
browsers, report them to us with the version of the browser, the type of computer,
and the operating system that is being used.
Printing Issues: We are working on resolving the printing
issues, but this should be working properly with updated browsers.
Usability List: Based on all the feedback we received from the
colleges, we’ve determined what issues are high priorities. They are highlighted
in yellow. (See attached list)
We would like the colleges to help us determine what we
should be working on. Some of the issues slated to be worked on next are what
colleges had previously decided were high priorities. After this last
prioritization of items, some of these items no longer rank as high. Per our
discussion in the meeting, we will wait to work on these issues and focus on
the updated top five priorities. Once we have completed these top priorities, we
can go through the list and reassess what the new priorities are.
Making printed audits more readable is currently in
progress.
Overrides:
Colleges have requested that we create an additional type of
override. To better streamline the process, we need more input on override
functionality to determine where the hang-ups are occurring.
One suggestion is to populate the EID when clicking on the
course list instead of having to paste the EID in “Create the Override Version
of Course List for the EID” box. Another
suggestion is to create a course list instead of having to copy and paste.
Migrate Overrides:
Per user request, Override Maintainers now have to the
ability to migrate overrides from Setup to Live.
Announcements:
1)
Global Substitutions will not be supported in
IDA 2.0.
2)
The Colleges of Education and Fine Arts will go
live with the 10-12 catalog after registration.
3)
Advisers need to communicate to students that the
IDA 2.0 student interface for the 12-14 catalog will be ready June 2013. If
colleges need additional resources to go live by June, we will see if there is
any way we can assist you. If colleges are not live, students will have access
to IDA 2.0 in the results, but may experience some confusion when redirected
back to IDA 1.0. IDA 1.0 will stay active until we sunset NRDEGR.
4)
The Office of the Registrar will follow up with
colleges on how high school deficiencies in foreign language are coded.
