Notes/Action Items
Updates in Production:
Replacement Overrides now display the warning text at the
top of the page: “Warning: Replacement Override
replaces ALL other course lists for this requirement.”
The ability to delete unused course lists is now available.
The delete button is under the “Edit Metadata” section of the course list.
All existing Course List filters that referenced Sections
without a Course Type have been updated to “In-Residence.” You can no longer
add sections to course lists without referencing course type when inputting a
CCYYS and unique number. A report was sent out to all colleges listing course
lists that were updated.
Archived Certified Audits
Most of the colleges use certified audits for graduation,
but never look at archived audits. The exception to this is the School of
Business, where archived certified audits are reviewed for students who are
taking the CPA exam.
The Office of the Registrar is proposing to follow the
University Records Schedule and only retain certified audits for 5 years after
graduation
Sunsetting NRDEGR
-All of the colleges have the 08-10 catalog in prod set-up,
so ideally, colleges should have some sort of plan of when they want to go
live. The goal is to sunset NRDEGR early
September 2014, so the sooner colleges go live, the better.
-Audits run with expired catalogs will have to be run in
newer catalogs or be done manually.
-Degree profiles and how they are going to be created is on
the project list before we phase out NRDEGR.
-UGS would prefer to wait until at least 50% of the colleges
are live with the 08-10 catalog before they begin coding overrides only in IDA
2.0.
-We will be in the middle of systems replacement in the near
future, so we cannot hold off on sunsetting NRDEGR.
Communication Timeline to open IDA 2.0 to Students
Currently, students submit audits in IDA 1.0 and get the
results in in IDA 2.0. Eventually we want students to run audits in the IDA 2.0
interface. At what point do we want to tell students about the new interface
for audit submission? Some of the colleges propose that we wait until all the
colleges are live with the 08-10, 10-12, and 12-14 catalogs.
Since no decision was made, we will revisit this at a later
date.
