Sunsetting
NRDEGR: The Office of the
Registrar will sunset NRDEGR on September 30, 2014, and NRDEGR will be replaced
with NRDAPF. Colleges will only have view access to NRDAPF for the following
functionalities:
- View
audits ( AL, AO, AS, and AT commands) - List
of degree programs/program requirements (LD and LP commands) - Print
report submission (PL, PP, and PX commands) - Repeatable
courses (TR command: The new title inventory will replace the TU command) - Student
Profiles (XB, XG, XL, XP, XS, and XT)
Public links to IDA 1.0 will be removed. Existing
audits in IDA 1.0 will be viewable, but colleges will not be able to run
audits.
For students under older catalogs, audits either
will have to be run under active catalogs and overrides performed if need be,
or will have to be done manually.
PTD
Formula and SAB Courses: The new PTD formula
will be moved to production before slotting audits are run on September 24,
2014. SAB courses without grades will be included in the PTD computation, which
may give students a higher percentage, and allow them to register earlier.
Profiles
and Slotting: Unlike the last time slotting audits
ran, the 14-16 catalog came into play and new degree programs were added that
did not specify which degree programs should have the default profile switch
set. Therefore, for slotting purposes, students with no tentative or official profiles, received an
LA Undeclared default profile.
Colleges have provided
an updated list of degree codes. These
reports can be reviewed to determine whether or not colleges would like to set
a default switch on any that do not currently have the switch set. The Office of the Registrar will update the
default switches as requested, run degree profiles for all students and send a
report to the colleges for review prior to running slotting audits. Slotting
audits is scheduled to run starting September 24, 2014. This student degree
profile report is expected to be sent to the colleges every semester prior to
slotting.
24/30
Rule: The 24 out
of 30 requirement is no longer required for the 14-16 catalog. The Office of
the Registrar plans to remove the requirement from IDA 2.0, and will coordinate
with the colleges so it is a seamless transition. Colleges that have trumped
the requirement will need to delete it before it can be removed. Once it’s
removed, we will migrate the change to live. The migration is scheduled to take
place on Thursday, September 18, 2014.
Ordered
Duplicates:
The
ordered duplicate list is sent out to colleges every semester after the 12th
class day. The question was raised as to whether this report is useful to
colleges. Most colleges do not use the report. For colleges that do use it, it
was suggested that the report be sent by the 4th class day.
Issues: Audits tend to run more slowly at the
beginning of the month, causing issues for advisers who need to run them. The
plan is to open up more class 4 initiators to prevent backlog. Colleges should let the degree audit team know
if this happens again.
