May 22-24
Tuesday-Thursday. Add/drop for the summer session for students who have registered and paid their tuition and fees.
May 26
Saturday. Summer residence halls open at 9:00 am.
May 28
Monday. Memorial Day holiday.
May 29
Tuesday. Orientation and testing begin for new undergraduate students.
University Health Services benefits become available to registered students.
May 29-30
Tuesday-Wednesday. Registration for the summer session; students who register on May 29-30 will register for all courses to be taken during the summer session. To complete registration, undergraduate students must pay tuition and fees no later than 5:00 pm on May 30; graduate and law students must pay tuition and fees no later than 5:00 pm on June 1.
May 31
Thursday. Classes begin for first-term, nine-week, and whole-session courses.
June 1
Friday. Tuition and fee payment deadline for graduate and law students.
Last day of the official add/drop period for first-term, nine-week, and whole-session courses; after this date, changes in registration require the approval of the department chair and usually the student's dean. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)
June 5
Tuesday. Fourth class day for first-term, nine-week, and whole-session courses; this is the date the official enrollment count is taken.
Last day an undergraduate student may add a first-term, nine-week, or whole-session course except for rare and extenuating circumstances.
Payment for added courses (add bill) due no later than 5:00 pm.
Last day to drop a first-term, nine-week, or whole-session course for a possible refund. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)
Last day a graduate student or a law student may, with the required approvals, add a first-term, nine-week, or whole-session course.
June 5-8
Tuesday-Friday. Orientation for students in the Summer Freshman Class program.
June 7
Thursday. Last day to apply for a graduate degree.
Registration for the fall semester begins for new summer session students who have paid their tuition and fees for summer, and for continuing and readmitted students who have not yet registered for fall.
June 11
Monday. Classes begin for the Summer Freshman Class program.
June 13
Wednesday. Last day to drop a first-term, nine-week, or whole-session course without a possible academic penalty. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)
June 20
Wednesday. Last day a student may change registration in a first-term, nine-week, or whole-session course to or from the pass/fail or credit/no credit basis.
June 27
Wednesday. Last class day for first-term two-hour law courses.
Last day to drop a first-term two-hour law course, with required approvals.
June 28
Thursday. Reading day for first-term two-hour law courses.
June 29-30
Friday-Saturday. Final examinations for first-term two-hour law courses.
July 4

July 5
Thursday. Last class day for first-term courses, including three-hour law courses.
