Next Steps
- Receiving Your Badge
-
Badges are awarded via email, so watch out for an email from noreply@badgr.com.
For UT students, your badge awards will be sent to the email associated with your EID.
Open the email and click “Go to Digital Badge,” which will direct you to the digital badging website; you may need to set up a login. The website will show your digital badge, awarded to (your name) and when it was issued.
- Sharing Your Badge
-
Once you’ve earned a digital badge to recognize your learning, you can use the opportunity to enhance your professional profile and resume. Sharing your digital badge allows you to highlight your skills and competencies with your professional network and resume; the digital badge is also a record of your learning and includes rich metadata about the earning criteria and skills so that you never lose track of what you learn.
In the top right of the digital badging website across from the name of the badge, you can click “Share,” which allows you to:
- Share your badge on social media, including your LinkedIn profile and feed. When you share the badge in your LinkedIn feed, be sure to add some comments and context on how you earned your digital credential and what is important about your skills.
- Use the share a link to include your badge with a verifiable link in your resume.
Using the menu (three vertical dots to the right of the badge name), you can:
- Print a certificate of your badge
- Download the badge image to include on your website or email signature
- View the public page
- Viewing Your Badges
-
The “My Badges” tab on the digital badging website includes a list of all the badges you have earned. Refer back to this area when reviewing your skills and competencies as you progress in your professional career.
