As used in the prerequisites of courses offered by this department, the term "biological science" refers to courses in biochemistry and courses offered by the Division of Biological Sciences and the Departments of Botany, Microbiology, and Zoology.

Marine science courses taught by zoology faculty may be counted for zoology credit in a student's degree program.
