To enroll in upper-division public relations courses, a student must first have applied and been accepted as a major in public relations. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of public relations course prerequisites and degree requirements published in the catalog prior to registering for public relations courses. Students who fail to meet prerequisites prior to registering for public relations courses may be dropped from these courses.
GRADE POINT AVERAGE: Prior to registering for any public relations course, students must have a University grade point average of at least 2.25 and a grade point average in courses in the College of Communication of at least 2.0.
GRAMMAR, SPELLING AND PUNCTUATION (GSP) TEST: Prior to registering for any upper-division public relations course, students must pass the College of Communication Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation (GSP) Test.
Any student enrolled in a public relations course who does not attend the first class meeting or laboratory session may be dropped from that course.
