CBA 5.202, B6500, 471-3322
Enrollment in undergraduate courses in the Department of Management Science and Information Systems is restricted to business students.
|Nonbusiness majors whose degree programs specifically require an upper-division business course may take the required course. Students who find that they cannot add the course via TEX or the Web should check with the undergraduate dean's office, CBA 2.400, for verification of eligibility to take the course. Enrollment exception petitions must be submitted prior to the twelfth class day (fourth class day in summer).
|MIS 311F and LEB 320F (Business Foundations Program courses) are open only to nonbusiness students. Business Foundations Program courses may not be counted toward the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
|R M 357E is open to all upper-division business and engineering students and to economics and actuarial science majors.
Students are expected to meet course prerequisites. A student who has not met the stated prerequisites may be dropped from the course.
In addition to regularly scheduled classes, evening examinations lasting from one to three hours may be held at times announced in advance through the class syllabus, which the instructor must furnish the first week of regularly scheduled classes.
MCCOMBS PLUS COURSES. All MBA courses, as well as the indicated undergraduate and doctoral courses, offered by the Red McCombs School of Business follow a nonstandard McCombs Plus schedule and calendar. Most courses meet MW or TTH in two-hour blocks. Classes begin at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. Courses on the McCombs Plus calendar have the same start and end dates as courses on the regular University calendar. However, they do not meet from October 14 through October 26 while MBA students take part in Plus Program, an intensive professional development program. Final examinations for McCombs Plus courses are held during the University's regular final examination period. Non-MBA students taking these courses must verify that the McCombs Plus schedule does not create conflicts with their other courses.
MIS 324 and 324H have been replaced by B A 324 and 324H. See the B A course listings.
INTERNSHIP. Prior to registering for MIS 353, students must petition online at the undergraduate business internship website and receive consent from the departmental internship coordinator.
CONFERENCE COURSES. Prior to registering for LEB 179, LEB 379, MIS 179, MIS 379, R M 179, or R M 379, students must contact a faculty member of their choice in this department to discuss registration for independent study. Students registering for these courses must obtain written approval in the department chair's office.
