LIBERAL ARTS HONORS

The College of Liberal Arts offers upper-division honors courses for students in the college who are pursuing the Bachelor of Arts, Plan I. Plan I students who have completed at least sixty semester hours of coursework and have earned a University grade point average of at least 3.35 are eligible to enroll in these courses.
To graduate with honors in the College of Liberal Arts, students must (1) graduate from the College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Arts, Plan I; (2) complete at least three upper-division liberal arts honors courses with a grade of at least B in each; (3) complete at least 60 semester hours of coursework counted toward the degree; and (4) have a University grade point average of at least 3.5 at the time of graduation. The statement "Liberal Arts Honors" appears on the transcript of each graduate who fulfills these requirements. Students may earn both liberal arts honors and special honors in their major department.
