Degrees and graduation

Checking your degree progress.

Use our Interactive Degree Audit system to check your progress on specific degree requirements, plot future classes against a degree, and find help with advising. When your records change, run a new check. (If you’re new to UT, use our planner to check outside courses against UT degrees.)

Graduating.

If you’re graduating, take part in Commencement at the end of spring. Some colleges and schools also hold graduation ceremonies in spring, and some in fall. (Summer and fall graduates may attend commencement the following spring.) For details, check with your dean at the start of your last semester. How can I prove I’ve attended or graduated?

Getting your diploma.

Your diploma is mailed about six weeks after graduation. It bears your name, graduation date and degree (with honors, if so), and the university’s seal and signatures. Though it shows full degrees – like Bachelor of Arts, or Doctor of Philosophy – majors aren’t shown.
